Pakistan SIM Network & CNIC Format Checker

Find out which operator a mobile number belongs to from its prefix, and understand the province & gender encoded in a CNIC's format. Educational only — no personal data.

Try: 11-digit number starting 03  |  13-digit CNIC (no dashes)

How the Pakistan mobile network check works

Every Pakistani mobile number starts with a four-digit code assigned by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to a specific operator. By reading that published prefix, you can tell which network a number uses — without contacting anyone or accessing any private information. Here is the current 2026 prefix map this tool uses:

OperatorPrefixes (0 3XX)
Jazz0300–0309, 0320–0329
Zong0310–0319, 0370, 0371, 0372
Ufone0330–0338
Onic0339
Telenor0340–0349
SCOM0355

A number can also be written in international "92" format — for example 0300 1234567 becomes 92300 1234567. The checker shows both forms.

Understanding the CNIC number format

Pakistan's 13-digit Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC) number is structured, not random. This tool explains what the structure means — it does not look up any individual, and it stores no identity information.

First digit → province / region of registration

First digitRegion
1Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
2Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (ex-FATA / Tribal Districts)
3Punjab
4Sindh
5Balochistan
6Islamabad Capital Territory
7Gilgit-Baltistan
8Azad Jammu & Kashmir

Last digit → gender

The final digit of a CNIC indicates gender: an odd last digit denotes male, and an even last digit denotes female. The digits in between encode the division, district and family registration unit.

Frequently asked questions

Does this show a number's owner, name or address?

No. PakSim GA only reads the public numbering plan and the CNIC format. It has no database of people and accesses no telecom or NADRA records. It cannot tell you who owns a number.

Is this legal to use?

Yes. It uses only publicly published information about how numbers and CNICs are structured. No private or restricted data is involved.

Why does my number show "unknown prefix"?

The prefix may be newly allocated or not yet in the published map. Operator prefixes are updated over time by the PTA.

Which networks are covered?

Jazz, Zong, Telenor, Ufone, Onic and SCOM.
